Gas thermometers are based on the thermal expansion of nitrogen, which fills the measuring element forming the sensitive part of the stem. The gas pressure is converted into a pointer deflection by means of a mechanism similar to that used in a Bourdon tube manometer. The advantages include accuracy, stability of parameters and resistance to mechanical shocks and vibrations.
STIKO gas thermometers are designed as modular kits, which are assembled at the manufacturing plant according to the customer’s requirements.
